Partnerships
Southern Food Journal considers collaborations that make sense beside its coverage of Southern ingredients, cooking, foodways and food history. We keep partner material distinct from independent editorial work and explain the relationship to readers.
Ways to work together
Possible collaborations include clearly identified partner features, relevant resource placements and promotional placements across the site. Proposals should name the subject, intended audience, format and requested placement. A good fit respects the complexity of Southern food culture and gives readers a clear reason to engage.
Clear labels, clear boundaries
Paid or otherwise supported material is labelled near its placement, including relevant partner links and features. Editorial coverage remains separate: payment or collaboration does not buy a favourable judgment, an unmarked endorsement or control of independent conclusions. We reserve the right to decline work that does not fit the publication.
Make a proposal
Send partnership ideas through the Contact page using the partnership option. Describe the proposed placement, the subject and any support or link requested. We review proposals for relevance and clarity; sending one does not guarantee acceptance.
Food is a way of reading place
A dish carries more than flavour: its ingredients, methods and setting tell us how people shape meals around the places they call home.
